Olde Barnstable Fairgrounds G.C. opened in April 1992 and is the only Municipal Golf Course in the Town of Barnstable. The largest of the Cape’s towns, Barnstable has 48,000 year round residents, with the total soaring to 125,000+ seasonally. The golf course averages 50,000 rounds per year.

Mark Mungeam, of Cornish, Sylva, and Mungeam is the architect of Olde Barnstable and designed the course with large undulating greens, deceptive approaches, and large chipping area’s. The golf course is a par 71, measuring 6479 yards from the back tees, 6113 yards from the middle tees and 5122 yards from the front tees. The golf course has gained a reputation as a true test of championship caliber hosting such events as the Mass. Mid Amateur, Mass. Amateur, USGA Mid Amateur, US Amateur, and the US Open Qualifiers.
